Female heptathlon – 100m hedges: GB Abigail Pawlett finished seventh in the final heat after cutting the final obstacle. She hit her head on the track as she fell but finished 14.70 seconds.

Preamble
Hello and welcome to the seventh day of the world athletics championships. The evening session has already started in Tokyo with the 100m female hurdles and it was a good start for Great Britain.
Jade O’Dowda won the first of the three 100m obstacle rounds with a 13.34 -second personal record. Katarina Johnson-Thompson finished second with a record for season 13,44, like Kate O’Connor of Ireland, who spent her best time.
The season of reports in fourth and fifth place for Svevani Gerevani from Italy and the triple Olympic champion Nafi Thiam de Belgique with 13.52 and 13.61 respectively.
