The White House has officially joined Tiktok, even if the administration is trying to determine the future of the platform in the United States.

Until now, the Tiktok account has eight videos: a mixture of president Donald Trump speaking, images of the White House on music – and the legend “We are so back”. There is also a video of press secretary Karoline Leavitt responding with hostility to a press conference question of a journalist from the New York Times, who is a way of settling the tone from the start. To date, the account had more than 175,000 subscribers.

The account slogan is: “Welcome to the golden age of America.”

After a decision to prohibit Tiktok in the United States because of its Chinese property, the administration delayed a closure as it seeks to help Bytedance, the owner of the company, transfers the property of an American company. We expect the new property to be announced in September that the company is working on an American version of the Tiktok Mobile application.

Reaction so far

As you would expect, the account reactions were divided on the platform, the Mashable website highlighting the instances where “it is already dragged”.

On each of the videos, some of the comments include calls related to the Jeffrey Epstein case; The most loved comment on a video, of the popular personality of Tiktok Aaron Parnas, simply reads: “Why don’t you publish the files?” It has 43,000 likes.

Leavitt officially recognized the platform, saying in a declaration to the media: “The Trump administration has committed to communicating the historical successes that President Trump has given to the American people with as many audiences and platforms as possible,” she said. “President Trump’s message dominated Tiktok during his presidential campaign, and we are delighted to rely on these successes and to communicate in a way that no other administration has previously.”

However, it was not clear that executes the account and how it is populated by content. As the government technology website underlines, Tiktok is prohibited on government devices.
