White House Nails CNN As They Try to Spin After Horrible Week of False Stories – RedState
As we reported, CNN had a horrible week last week when it came to news coverage.
Now, they have a problem in general, but last week was particularly egregious with their hosts/reporters having to issue multiple corrections for false stories, including the New York bombing and Operation Epic Fury.
But if you listen to them try to spin, you’ll think they didn’t publish fake stories.

Their media correspondent then tried to save them this morning, describing the issue as “smear” by President Donald Trump, deemed “unpatriotic” for “scrutinizing the war in Iran.”

Of course, this itself is a false story, because the problem is not scrutiny, these are false stories that the various CNN entities/employees then had to correct/clarify. The White House’s Rapid Response X account later upgraded it and CNN.

How dare Team Trump expect CNN to do journalism and report the truth? These cads! They’re asking too much of CNN, these Hitlers! Asking them to tell the truth is apparently now “slander.” Don’t blame Trump if the American people take issue with CNN spreading false stories. You earned this reaction all by yourself, and not just last week.

It’s funny how often this “independent coverage” he claims seems to align with the Democratic narrative.
People know it. There’s a reason why CNN has horrible ratings and people don’t watch it. Maybe if they changed their ways, they could regain some of the many viewers they’ve lost over the years. But that would require a lot more introspection and looking in the mirror than they currently seem willing to do.
Yes, Americans see through this “ugly rhetoric”. But this rhetoric comes from outlets like CNN, not the Trump administration.
