White House unveils U.S. strategic plan on AI. Here’s what it includes.

The Trump administration unveiled on Wednesday an AI action plan aimed at maintaining American domination in the field of artificial intelligence in rapidly rapid. The initiative is part of a continuous effort that the White House started earlier this year with a decree removing the railing imposed by the Biden administration.

Trump talks about the new plan and the signing of the decrees linked during an opening speech at an AI summit in Washington, DC on Wednesday.

The Trump administration plan, which includes more than 90 federal policy actions, will be largely:

• Support the construction of data centers, semiconductor manufacturing factories and the country’s electricity network;
• Create rules for government entrepreneurs to try to eliminate “ideological biases” in chatbots;
• Retain the financing of states which have “heavy” regulations of AI;
• Oblige federal agencies to review their rules and repeal everything that hinders the development of AI;
• Establish a program to provide AI export packages – including hardware, large language models, software, applications and standards – to American allies.

Wednesday’s announcement is co-organized by the Bipartisan Hill and Valley Forum and the Podcast All-in, a business and technology program organized by four technological investors and entrepreneurs who include the AI of Mr. Trump and the Cryptographic Tsar David Sacks.

“The goal here is that the United States won the AI race,” Sacks said during a press call with journalists on Wednesday morning.

The plan is supported by the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and will be carried out over the next six months to one year, according to Michael Kratsios, Political Director of the OSTP.

“This is a day of the watershed for Trump to expose the vision of the AI and ensure that the United States remains in advance on China despite all the disorders of the trade agreement,” said Dan Ives, Wedbush Securities analyst, in an e-mail at CBS Moneywatch.

What is AI action plan?

The AI action plan is focused on accelerating AI innovation and AI infrastructure construction to ensure that the leaders of the United States in international AI diplomacy, according to Sacks, who presented the main pillars of the plan during Wednesday’s call.
