US Open Hat-Snatching Villain Responds—but Is It Too Little Too Late? – RedState

It was a story that became viral during the holiday weekend – a star tennis player handed over his hat to a young public fan at the US Open when suddenly, an idiot of ham snatched the cap, stuffed him in his wife’s bag and completely ignored the poor boy shocked.
The man was (rightly) vilified on the internet, and it did not take long to discover the identity of the disbeliever. He is the Polish millionaire businessman Piotr Szczerek, and Boy, he looked like the ultimate driving of the now infamous video.
TERRIBLE! The professional tennis player tries to give a hat to a child to the US Open. An adult intervenes and the fact. Who does that?

Things took a tour for the best when the tennis player – Polish star Kamil Majchrzak – realized what had happened, was able to organize a meeting with the boy and gave him a new hat.
On Sunday, the Internet raged with supposed statements by Szczerek, which seemed to double his appalling behavior and also threatened to continue someone – everyone. However, this seems to be a hoax, and the Hat-Satcher denied that these words are his.
Likewise, the CEO of Tech who was surprised caning someone who was not his wife on the concert of Coldplay Kiss Cam in July also “published” a viral declaration threatening to continue people – but it was also a false, showing how difficult it can be to separate the truth from reality in the world of today.
In any case, the CEO of spatching has now presented real excuses on Instagram, according to the NY Post. You are the judge if he does the work:
“I would like to apologize unequivocally to the boy who was injured, his family, as well as all the fans and the player himself,” wrote Szczerek on Instagram. “I made a serious mistake.
“In the emotions, in the joy of the crowd after the victory, I was convinced that the tennis player put the ceiling in my direction-for my sons, who had previously asked for autographs,” he added.
“It’s a painful lesson but necessary for me for me.”
What do you know? Not a bad start. He had more and said he had contacted the fan family:
SZCZEREK, who was at the center of indignation after the video became viral last week, said he apologized to the boy and his family for his actions.
He also said that neither he or his family had made statements concerning the incident before Monday – demystifying the viral positions that have been done in recent days by pretending to be him and laugh at the situation.
He swore to try to do better:
“For years, with my wife, I participated in helping children and young athletes, but this situation showed me that a moment of negligence can cancel years of work and support,” wrote the Polish millionaire.
“Consequently, I will engage even more actively in initiatives supporting children and young people, as well as in actions against violence and hatred,” he added. “I believe that it is only by acts that I can rebuild lost confidence.
“Again, I apologize to all those I dropped.”
His actions were shameful, and it is not a surprise that he feels the heat – well -being. That being said, these apologies are much better than those that we regularly see celebrities and societies, where they emit excuses “we are not really sorry”. At least he had cojones to say: “I apologize to all those I dropped.”
This certainly does not share his rough behavior, but it may be a lesson for him and others like him that being a complete fool has consequences.
