Seeing Red: Breitbart Takes the Red Carpet at Kennedy Center Honors

The Kennedy Center Honors red carpet was a star-studded affair, with legendary rock band KISS leading the charge of celebrities and President Donald Trump speaking to reporters at its conclusion. Breitbart News was on hand during the nearly three-hour affair before the Kennedy Center Honors got underway, conducting interviews with four of the eight honorees, several administration officials, and getting the final question in to Trump. Breitbart News caught up with KISS bandmates Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, and Peter Criss as the red carpet got underway. The late Ace Frehley, who passed away in October, was posthumously honored as well. When asked what it was like being honored in the Oval Office by the president a day ahead of the event, Simmons quipped, “It doesn’t suck.” Stanley and Criss both expressed that when they were kids, they never expected life would take them to such heights. “It’s an incredible honor. It’s surreal, and as a kid who grew up with nothing, the idea of being in the White House, the Oval Office, receiving accolades from the president, that’s beyond anything that I could have ever fathomed,” Stanley told Breitbart News. “And that’s what makes America great, is the fact that
