Netflix’s ‘Emily in Paris’ returns to filming 2 days after crew member’s death

“Emily in Paris” resumed filming only a few days after the death of the deputy director of the show.

Lily Collins, who plays on the Netflix program, was spotted on the set on August 23 – only two days after Diego Borella collapsed and died on site.

Collins and the Eugenio Franceschini co-stars, Ashley Park and Paul Forman were photographed while the shooting resumed. The daughter of the renowned musician Phil Collins wore a pearl dress, pink gloves and a hat while the group turned on a boat.

Paramount Television Studios confirmed that Borella died during the shooting of the fifth season.

“We are deeply saddened to confirm the sudden death of a family member for the production of” Emily in Paris “, said a spokesman for Paramount at People Magazine. “Our hearts go to the family and to beings dear to the individual during this incredibly difficult period.”

Borella collapsed during the shooting of a final scene inside the Danieli hotel in Venice on August 21, according to several local outlets. The Repubblica reported that the deputy director had been treated by doctors on the set, but could not be relaunched.

The deputy director was hired locally and trained in Rome, London and New York.

The fifth season of “Emily in Paris” began filming on August 15 with a scheduled end of August 25, reported People magazine.

Season five will be presented on Netflix on December 18.

Collins shared photos of the shooting on Instagram while it celebrated the ad.

“The countdown officially begins, with first glance and a release date for @EmilyinParis Five Five! The Italian adventure of Emily continues, from the cobblestones to the canals, on December 18 …”, she wrote.

Collins spoke of portraying Emily marketing engineering in the Successful Netflix show before the last season. “Emily in Paris” focused on an American girl working in marketing who moves to Paris to follow her career dreams.

“I was happy that this season, you really saw Emily feeling all the feelings and having a breakdown and not looking perfect all the time and being more vulnerable,” said Collins during an episode of the Podcast “Still Watchcast” by Vanity Fair.

“I think this season we can see it more complex and be much more complex.”
