“No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies are set to begin Saturday in cities across the country to declare, “America has no kings.”

“We stand united against abuse of power, cruelty and corruption. On October 18, we come together to remind President Trump and his accomplices: America has no kings!” the movement’s website reports upcoming demonstrations on Saturday.

Protests claiming America has “no kings” first mobilized in February, on President’s Day, to denounce the Trump administration’s Department of Government Effectiveness and federal budget cuts. The “No Kings” movement gained national prominence, however, in June, when Trump held a military parade in honor of the 250th anniversary of the U.S. military, which also fell on his 79th birthday.

Tens of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets of Washington, Los Angeles, Denver, New York, Philadelphia and elsewhere to protest what they saw as Trump’s “coronation” day, as well as other administration policies, including its ongoing deportation efforts.

“The world saw the power of the people. President Trump’s birthday parade was drowned out by protests in every state and around the world. His attempt to turn June 14 into a coronation failed, and the story became the force of a movement that stands against his authoritarian power grabs”, underlines the “No Kings” website.

Four months later, “No Kings” demonstrations will take place in cities including Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Hartford, Connecticut, to protest the Trump administration, focusing on the administration’s efforts to deport millions of illegal immigrants residing in the United States. The group says on its website that it anticipates “millions of people across the country” will “demonstrate against authoritarian politics and the billionaire.” to resume.”

“President Trump has doubled down on his efforts. His administration is sending masked officers onto our streets, terrorizing our communities,” says the “No Kings” website. “They target immigrant families, profiling, arresting and detaining people without warrants. Threatening to override elections. Crushing health care, environmental protections and education when families need them most. Rigging the cards to silence voters. Ignoring mass shootings in our schools and communities. Raising the cost of living while handing out massive giveaways to billionaire allies, while families struggle.”

The protests are being organized by left-wing groups such as Indivisible, a grassroots progressive organization behind anti-Trump protests dating back to the 2016 election, as well as other groups such as the American Federation of Teachers, the ACLU, Greenpeace, the Human Rights Campaign, MoveOn, National Nurses United, Public Citizen and Service Employees International Union, according to its website.

The group repeatedly calls on participants to protest peacefully on its website. Los Angeles’ “No Kings” protests in June effectively turned chaotic, as “agitators who came here with the intention of creating chaos” attacked police officers, the Los Angeles County sheriff told local media at the time.

Saturday’s protests are expected to focus on Trump’s immigration policies, including alleged “authoritarian takeovers of cities — deploying federal forces, seizing local police departments, and funding mass detention and deportation operations,” as well as the movement’s continued claims that Trump behaves more like a monarch than a president.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT TODAY’S “NO KINGS” ANTI-TRUMP RALLIES ACROSS THE UNITED STATES

“President Trump has openly said he wants a third term and he is already acting like a monarch: taking over Washington DC, threatening other cities, and using federal forces against his own people. But the American people do not bow to kings. Together, we will mobilize peacefully, once again, in large numbers to reject this corruption and abuse of power – it is in our DNA as a country,” states the group’s website.

Fox News Digital reached out to movement organizers for additional comment on the upcoming protests but did not immediately receive a response Thursday.

“Who cares?” White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson told Fox News Digital when asked about the upcoming protests on Saturday.

The Trump administration has embarked on an immigration blitz since Trump was sworn in on Jan. 20, as federal law enforcement officials, such as ICE agents, have converged on cities in targeted efforts to deport illegal immigrants. Trump has simultaneously targeted individual U.S. cities for a comprehensive crime cleanup, including federalizing Washington, D.C.’s police force in August, and notably ordering the National Guard into the city, with Los Angeles, Memphis and Portland facing similar crime reduction efforts. Trump’s attempts to launch anti-crime initiatives in Portland and Los Angeles, however, have been blocked in court.

Trump’s 2024 campaign has largely focused on ending the U.S. illegal immigration crisis and reducing crime, with voters frequently highlighting those issues as one of their top concerns before heading to the polls.

The protests follow Trump and his administration reaching a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which included a trip by the president to Israel and Egypt earlier in October to speak directly with world leaders, and as Trump speaks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday and meets with Ukrainian President Vlodomyr Zelenskyy on Friday at the White House amid a war distinction between these nations which continues to rage since 2022.
