Woman, 50, found dead in Bronx building with injuries to head and body

A woman was found dead with head and body injuries inside a Bronx apartment building Saturday morning, police said.

Cops responded around 9:39 a.m. to a 911 call about an unconscious woman at 38 Featherbed Lane in Morris Heights. The woman – identified as Susan Longton, 50, a resident of the building – was found unconscious, showing signs of physical injuries.

EMS responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.

The city’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. There have been no arrests and the investigation continues.
