Woman allegedly tries to run over Border Patrol agents with car during Maine arrest

A woman who tried to run on American border patrol agents helping to arrest two illegal immigrants in Maine was arrested this week, the authorities said.

Olivia Wilkins, 24, is accused of aggravated imprudent conduct, threatening a criminal with a dangerous weapon, of endangering herself, of hindering apprehension, of hindering government administration and not to stop for an officer, said the Ministry of Homeland Security.

The agents of the border patrol helped the police of the State of Maine (MSP) and the office of the sheriff of the county of Knox (KCSO) concerning a working accident of commercial vehicle Monday involving Jhoan Andres Ortz-Calderon and Victor Hugo Cardona-Calderon.

Ortiz-Calderon had a final dismissal order of an immigration judge and Victor Hugo Cardona-Calderon exceeded his visa and had not obtained a work permit, the authorities announced.

While walking the two men to a USBP vehicle, Wilkins, a passer -by, began to verbally abuse the authorities, said the DHS.

“She then used her vehicle to lead to the group of the police, shouting the tires and hitting them, by hitting them almost,” a press release said.

Sheriff deputies continued Wilkins, who crushed his vehicle along a road. She was arrested on the scene.

“This incident comes only two weeks after a threatening letter with a white powder substance was sent to an ice desk in New York.
