Dem L.A. Mayor Karen Bass Proposes Free Teeth for Meth Addicts
Bankrupt Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has proposed a new government program for her bankrupt city: free teeth for meth addicts, paid for by taxpayers.
Speaking at an event this week, Bass floated his latest idea to destroy and bankrupt what was once a great city…
“How many homeless people you meet have no teeth? » she asked. “They don’t have teeth, why? Because meth rots teeth. You can’t be successful without teeth! So you have to provide comprehensive health care to people.”
It’s like refurnishing a house that’s still on fire.
This has got to be one of the most ridiculous ideas anyone has ever had, and it actually uses the retarded term “unhoused”.
What’s the point of fixing a drug addict’s teeth? Who will look at the smile of an addict and say: Please operate my cash register.
And we’re not talking about cleaning here. We’re talking tens of thousands of dollars in dental care. Implants cost around $6,000 per tooth. Extractions cost around $300 per tooth. Meth heads will almost certainly require bone grafts, sinus lifts, and perhaps even sedation. Are we going to trust meth enthusiasts with dentures, which are cheaper (around $5,000), but who are likely to end up in a pawn shop or crack house?
In my experience, the total cost is between $30,000 and $80,000, and that is if the city pays the dentist directly, which it will not. The entire program will be channeled through an NGO or nonprofit, doubling or tripling the cost to taxpayers (with sweet kickbacks for Democrats), just as Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) “free” diaper program tripled the cost of diapers purchased by the government (i.e., taxpayers).
As for “my experience”, I’ve been paying huge dental bills out of my own pocket for two years, just like every other law-abiding taxpayer in America.
You mean, all I have to do to pay my dental bills is smoke meth?
Medicare doesn’t even cover dental care, meaning people who have worked their entire lives and paid into the system don’t get government help paying for dental costs. Ah, but the government will help degenerate drug addicts.
How does a population come to vote for someone like Karen Bass as general manager of their city? I know Republican Spencer Pratt is setting the Internet on fire, that he swept the floor with it in this debate, and that he’s a superb candidate, but the post-debate polls don’t look good on him.
The city is condemned, condemned by its own voters… That’s fine with me. I don’t live there.
If you’re an illegal alien drug addict, Bass will probably give you free teeth as well as a bag full of gold.
