ICE agent shoots, kills man in Franklin Park, Illinois, after suspect tries to drive into agents, DHS says

Friday morning, an agent of the application of the forces of American immigration and customs fell a man in Franklin Park, Illinois, Friday morning after the authorities tried to go to the agents.
An official of the Ministry of Internal Security said for the first time to CBS News that the agent was trying to arrest, which man had resisted and tried to drive his vehicle in the agents. The agent then opened fire.
ICE officials confirmed the deadly shooting, saying that the incident had started with “targeted law activities”.
“During a vehicle stop, the suspect resisted and tried to drive his vehicle into the arrest team, hitting an officer and dragging him after he fled to the scene. Fearing for his life, the officer unloaded his gun and hit the subject,” said the press release.
The incident ended when the undocumented driver crashed into a truck.
Ice said the agent and suspect had been taken to a local treatment hospital, where the man died. Ice said the agent had been dragged and suffered “serious injuries”. The agent is treated in a local hospital where his condition has stabilized, Ice said.
DHS officials identified the man shot down as Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, who, according to them, had reckless criminals of driving. They said he entered the country on an unknown date and hour.
The agent was dragged by the car and suffered “multiple injuries” according to the DHS.
The FBI confirmed that it had been informed of the situation and aid to the investigation.
“The FBI is aware of the Franklin Park incident and helps the police in response,” said a spokesperson for the Chicago field office. “There is no threat to public security or more information available at the moment.”
The village of Franklin Park is around 15 miles northwest of Chicago, near O’Hare International Airport.
