Police confirm remains found in Jerusalem woods belong to Finnish tourist

On Friday, before Shabbat, children walking in the woods outside Pisgat Zeev found the bones and showed them to one of their fathers, who called the police.
Israeli police confirmed Monday that human remains found earlier this month outside Jerusalem belong to a missing Finnish tourist.
The family has been notified.

While searching the area, police also found a foreign passport linked to a Finnish tourist who went missing in March 2024.

Finnish tourist last seen in Jerusalem hostel
The tourist, a Finnish citizen, arrived in Israel in January 2024 and was last seen on March 10, 2024, at a hostel in central Jerusalem, where she was staying.
The police took the skeletal remains to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for further identification as to the origin and cause of death.
