X’s New AI-Fueled Comedic Reactions to Maduro’s Arrest – RedState

As we still grapple with the grave news of the ouster of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro, it’s always amusing to see how quickly the internet’s meme masters surface and begin giving us creative and humorous versions of the event. In fact, this always happens: how quickly memes make fun of an event like this is directly proportional to the geopolitical importance of the event/people involved. This is a fundamental law of the universe, now known as “Clark’s First Law of Internet Messages.”

My friend and colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell has previously covered the more serious posts, mostly covering the left’s sweaty, heartbreaking responses; Check it out:

But there’s also plenty of irreverent humor at Maduro’s expense today on X, so let’s have a laugh or two.

First: You can now get your own Nicolas Maduro Halloween costume in federal custody!

Today, it’s not at all clear why anyone would want to dress up as a recently deposed and arrested socialist dictator, but we don’t judge; I once had a friend who dressed up as a giant potato for Halloween, so I guess anything goes. (He looked a lot like Brian Stelter.)

Next: In this one, it’s Trump’s reaction that really sells. If you get captured and head into an American goosegow, well, you might as well have a little fun.

Probably AI generated, although I’m colorblind in that range. I doubt the Delta guys who flew Maduro out would have wanted him to DJ their triumphant celebration on the way out, but you never know; At the time, I knew a few guys in the special operations and field intelligence communities, and as a group, they were all a little… offbeat. But then, who am I to speak?

Speaking of the brave Delta guys who pulled this off, well, even in a special operation to catch a South American dictator, there’s always time to take a few selfies.

Indeed, it would have been entirely satisfying if Maduro had been roused from a deep slumber, but we are given to understand that he was, as President Trump put it, “rushed” while trying to enter a shielded room.

Remember Saturday morning cartoons? This member does, and I guess that comparison is obvious. Chuck Jones was unavailable for comment:

It’s in Spanish, which I don’t do understood, but the little video clip speaks for itself.

And finally, I guess it was inevitable:

According to the latest report, Venezuelan citizens are still dancing in the streets, as are Venezuelan nationals living in the United States and probably elsewhere. It’s a big day for them and, honestly, it’s a serious day, one that raises many serious questions about the future of Venezuela. This is important, and in the days and weeks to come, these questions will have to be answered.

But for now, there’s no reason not to have a little fun.
