Yelp is creating its own AI videos about restaurants

Yelp will use AI to assemble content posted by users on restaurants, food and nightlife to make short videos on these companies. The company initially began to test the videos of the AI-was last year, but they are now available nationally on the house flow with vertical tiktok type of the iOS application.

Business operators cannot currently preview generated videos or get an update when one is created, and Yelp users cannot now undress so that their photos or videos appear in YELP CEI videos. Yelp is based on several generative AI tools to create the finished product, because Openai LLMS wrote text descriptions and the narrator’s script, the reference of history and rereading, while Elevenlabs is used to generate the voice and transcription of Amazon of the narrator creates the synchronized melodies on the screen.

Yelp relies on personalized signals to determine when you show the videos. The videos themselves are not personalized, even if they are ultimately refreshed – there is only one active AI video on one company live at a time, according to Saldanha. If a user or a company believes that a video of the AI is inaccurate or offensive, Saldanha says that he can report it by pressing the three points in the upper right corner of the video. Yelp also makes “large -scale” periodic audits.
