TOP O’LE MORNING’

Democratic senators now fear the consequences of the “No Kings” absurdity

Two Democratic senators and one independent senator from the Democratic caucus voted in favor of reopening the government: John Fetterman (D-PA), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), and Angus King (I-ME). The rest of the Democratic Party is in thrall to the crazy left, and that can do them a lot of good.

’21st Century Digital Watergate’: Another Republican Senator’s Phone Records Targeted by Biden’s DOJ

This is clearly a weaponization of the Department of Justice (DOJ) under President Biden. And this will be done without even a sign of recognition from the “No Kings” on the left.

How not to lose your gun rights

Of course, my point is that if a crime is so heinous that a person should be forever deprived of their right to carry a gun, it should have been considered a crime and everyone would have stopped it. Sadly, that’s not what’s happening.

Petro’s Manic Monday: El Presidente throws a tantrum and threatens to ‘bring down’ Trump

Even though the dictators and narco-terrorist clubs of the Western Hemisphere support Petro, he doesn’t get much support from his own country (and I have a feeling the situation will be much worse if Trump stops this flow of money).

MORNING REFLECTION

Virtue — it’s a good thing. Virtue signaling? Not so much. This is one of the unpleasant side effects of social media. It’s so easy to let your flag of virtue fly in the digital space. And look, I’m sure I’m guilty of it sometimes too. I guess most people are. It’s just that some of the ways the progressive left in particular chooses to let us all know that they are the virtuous of all are… well, frankly, both stupid and annoying.

On the plus side, they can also be entertaining, so I guess that’s that.

On a personal note, I have some fun news to share: Starting next Monday, I will officially be the co-host of the Mike Ferguson in the Morning Show on NewsTalkStL. (This is in addition to what I do here, so neither me nor the Morning Minute are going anywhere.) I’ll try to sprinkle in some of our fun segments here from time to time. (And, of course, we’ll regularly have RedState contributors as guests.)

Editor’s note: Schumer’s closure is here. Rather than putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and radical Democrats forced a government shutdown on health care for illegal immigrants. They own that.
