You Won’t Have to Take These Smart Lights Down for Years

GE Lighting has just launched its Cync Dynamic Effects Smart Outdoor Light Strips and new Cync Dynamic Effects Smart Outdoor Lights. These are designed to give you easy DIY options for lighting the exterior of your home all year round.

The big news here is that you can now get Cync 100ft Dynamic Effects Outdoor Smart Eave Lights for permanent accent lighting around places like your roof and porch. This allows you to easily light up your home with festive colors, team colors or just a pretty tunable white tone for everyday use, all with just one set of lights. They are also designed to be cut and stretchable.

The kit includes four 24.6-foot light strips, an 8.2-foot extension cable, a controller, and a power supply with plug. With a single power supply, you can extend the length of the lights up to 150 feet. Since they are moisture and water resistant, they are designed to stay outdoors and decorate your space without having to reinstall them for every special event throughout the year. You also have a controller that you can use to change scenes and adjust brightness manually.

Along with the new eave lights, Cync is also updating its dynamic effect outdoor smart light strips, giving you even more ways to decorate your home. Light strips are available in 16ft and 32ft lengths. The 16-foot set includes 15 mounting clips and straight stakes, four angled stakes and two shape grid templates, which will help you design your lawn or wall decoration. The 32-foot set doubles the hardware, giving you 30 straight mounting clips and stakes, eight angled stakes, and two shape grid designs. They can even be cut to the desired length at the indicated cutting points.

Just make sure the light strip is unplugged before cutting it, as cutting anywhere else will permanently damage the light. Once you have it cut, you will need to add glue and insert the tip onto the cut end of the light strip. What’s interesting is that the updated Eave Lights and Light Strips are part of the Cync smart ecosystem, which means they connect directly to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network without the need for a separate hub.

With the Cync app, you get a ton of control, like setting custom schedules, controlling individual color segments, adjusting brightness, and creating custom light shows. Since both types of light feature dynamic effects, each light segment can be controlled individually and they both include light effects that can sync with music. You can also use Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free voice control, which is very convenient.
