Young man shot multiple times in the head in the Bronx

A 24-year-old man shot several times in the head died Sunday evening after an attack on a street corner in the Bronx, police said.
Officers responding to a 911 call about an assault found the injured man at the corner of W. 174th St. and Popham Ave. in Morris Heights at 8 p.m., officers said.
He was rushed to BronxCare Health Center in critical condition. He died in hospital.
Police are investigating and no arrests were immediately made. The man’s identity is being withheld until his family is notified.
