CyberPower says that it will raise PC prices after Black Friday

Pre-built PC maker CyberPower announced Wednesday that it will raise prices after the Black Friday sales season, in response to stratospheric price increases in the PC memory market.
Experts recently said the best time to upgrade your PC is now, as AI hyperscalers gobble up the supply of DRAM and SSDs like teenagers at Thanksgiving dinner. CyberPower said it was also feeling the effects.
“Recently, global memory (RAM) prices have increased by 500% and SSD prices by 100%,” CyberPower said in a post on Twitter.com. “This has had a direct impact on the cost of building gaming PCs since 10/1/2025. As a result, CyberPowerPC will begin price adjustments on all systems on December 7, 2025.”
The PC maker did not specify which systems it would adjust prices on, or what those price adjustments would be. Retailers have already seen large price increases for both expired DDR4 and current DDR5 memory, enough that some retailers are treating RAM like a high-end steak and refusing to offer anything other than a “market” price.
There is a little hope. “We hear your concerns! We will always strive to give you the best value for your gaming PC needs. Price increases will be temporary, rest assured they will adjust accordingly as market conditions change,” the company said in a follow-up article, as noted by Tom’s Hardware.
So far, other PC makers have not followed suit and indicated that price increases are coming. But we’re already starting to see PC makers trying to balance maintaining prices while dealing with rising component costs: Framework, for example, is stopping the sale of standalone RAM.
As Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach, experts have asked PCWorld to keep an eye out for deals in which items like software and subscriptions are bundled with hard-to-find components like memory and graphics cards in order to “boost” the value. However, PCWorld editors watch the best desktop PC deals like hawks, and the same goes for the best SSD deals.
Still, grab what you can get while you can. So far, the consensus still seems to be that the situation is bad…and it will get worse.
