Zillow adds DMs so you can chat about homes you’ll never buy

Zillow is trying to make sharing listings easier by putting a messaging feature right in its app. Instead of sharing a link to your dream home via text message, Zillow says you can invite a friend, family member, or loved one to chat from the app’s inbox.
From there, you and your business partner can have a conversation about listings and share your new finds in the Zillow app. You can start a chat by opening your inbox and choosing the option to invite another person. Zillow will then generate an invite link that you can share with them, allowing them to join your search.
Putting an email feature into Zillow might seem a bit unnecessary, but I can see how it could be useful. It seems like this would make it easier to keep track of all the announcements you talked about with your business partner, because you won’t have to sort through unrelated conversations and photos to find an announcement you talked about via text.
