Punisher encounter Batman

Even if it doesn’t break any mold, the Mexican thriller of 2025 Revenge is a trending new action-packed thriller that quickly rose to the top 10 in several regions, including the United States, after its premiere on April 17. The film unleashes a new vigilante on a relentless quest for revenge.

The story follows a decorated special forces hero who is desperate for revenge after his wife is brutally murdered. After an unexpected twist of fate makes him a millionaire, Carlos (Omar Chaparro) transforms his fortune into an arsenal that will make John Wick salivate. Then, accompanied by his most loyal soldiers, he launched into a fierce hunt for those responsible.

It is a great audience pleaser that embodies pure entertainment with its brutal action, stylish sequences, bloody revenge and well-filmed scenes. Plus, its wildly effective narrative crescendo builds to a dazzling climax that will leave you full of adrenaline, leaving you wanting more.

A dystopian reality TV competition

ActorGlen Powell (Twists) has been on fire lately, and it doesn’t look like it’s letting up anytime soon. If you missed seeing him in Stephen King’s second adaptation of the sci-fi adventure hit The running manwhich is based on the 1982 novel of the same name, now’s your chance to fix that.

In the near future, the highest-rated show on television is a deadly competition where contestants must survive 30 days of being hunted by professional assassins. When his ruthless producer convinces Ben Richards (Powell) to enter the game, the desperate father agrees, hoping to earn the money needed to save his sick daughter. Ben is not a typical competitor, however. He’s brave and defiant, and when his instincts make him an unexpected fan favorite, ratings skyrocket, threatening the entire system.

While 2025 The running man is considered a remake of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 1987 film, it is not a direct remake but rather a more faithful, stronger and darker adaptation of King’s best-selling novel. Shaun of the Dead‘s Edgar Wright directs and, alongside Powell, Michael Cera, Lee Pace, Colman Domingo and Josh Brolin also star.

A marketing problem gone wrong

An all-new action comedy from director Peter Farrelly (Stupid and dumber) is currently dominating the streaming charts, and after watching it, I think it will stay there for a good minute.

Balls in the air follows two marketing executives as they navigate an extremely cheeky speech. Brad (Mark Wahlberg) and Elijah (Paul Walter Hauser) spark a giant scandal after offering full sponsorship for the World Cup, but their actions during the event make them the biggest villains in Brazilian history. After inadvertently blocking a crucial goal, chaos erupts and the two must outrun rabid fans, cartels and poachers.

The film’s engaging comedic chemistry, raunchy humor, chain domino effect of chaotic gags and action, A-list talent, and high-stakes production make this an excellent, high-profile buddy comedy perfect for the streaming platform. It also features cameos from notable actors such as Sasha Baron Cohen, Molly Shannon and Benjamin Bratt.
