6 Best Smart Speakers (2025): Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri

There is a lot Smart speakers on the market and selecting the best intelligent speaker keeps becoming more difficult. First of all, you should decide which voice assistant you prefer. There are three that deserve to be used – Alexa d’Amazon, assistant Google and Siri d’Apple – and each has its advantages and disadvantages. This guide is organized by our favorite speaker, whatever the assistant he uses, but we recommend a secondary option if you prefer another assistant.
Overall, the smart speakers of Google and Amazon are the way to follow, although we prefer Google’s ecosystem to that of Amazon. The range of Amazon speakers is larger, but our favorite models are always those of Google, including the Google Audio Nest ($ 75) For an intelligent speaker (especially if you want a stereo sound and two speakers at an advantageous price) and the Google Nest Hub Max ($ 230) For a smart screen. Amazon, however, makes our favorite little speakers, especially the fifth generation Amazon Echo Dot ($ 50).

Our favorite smart speaker
Overall, Google Assistant is our intelligent speaker and our choice of choice, so it is not surprising that the audio Nest (8/10, Wired recommends) or our overall choice. It has a compact shape and similar to a pillow and excellent sound that will easily fill the small and medium rooms. We really like to use two nests as a stereo pair, because they combine to offer some of the best audio quality that you can make in a smart speaker for $ 200.
As with all Google Assistant – Power devices, you can ask the audio Nest to define timers, play music or tell you the weather, and you can ask him for everything you are looking for on Google. The Google Home application allows you to easily combine speakers with any other smart device suitable for Google you also have. Google’s ecosystem is generally easy to use and easy to integrate into tons of other products, both Google itself and others.

★ If you prefer Alexa: The fourth generation echo ($ 100) is the Amazon equivalent of this device. It’s a little shorter but wider, go for a round design on the audio nest larger. It has a fantastic sound quality and great capacities, and it is a good choice if you prefer Alexa in your home. There have been changes with Alexa, and there will be a new version of the assistant available to everyone soon – read more in our section What about Alexa +?
Best smart screen
I love an intelligent screen, because I love the option of using voice commands to control my smart home or a tap of my finger. The Nest Hub Max (8/10, Wired recommends) is my favorite because it doubles a magnificent digital photo frame. He does a great job by showing me all kinds of images because I am a user of Google Photos, but even if you do not actively support Google Photos like me, it is easy to create and add to the albums to display on the 10 -inch screen.
The Max hub is also easy to use to control your smart home, allowing you to adjust the lights with a tap or get the doorbell directly to your device. He has an integrated hub, so that intelligent domestic devices can connect there for configuration, and he supports the material on the thread and Wi-Fi. He also has surprisingly solid sound for his thin speakers and his profile, in particular for relaxed listening sessions in the kitchen or to define the atmosphere during the sessions of dungeons and dragons.

★ If you prefer an Alexa display: Amazon has a crazy number of smart screens at the limit, but my favorite is easy to name: The Echo Show 8 ($ 150). The 8-inch screen is just large enough for everything you can use it, and it contains a pretty speaker and has an integrated hub compatible with ZigBee, Matter and Thread. The largest sizes are too large for any regular -sized house, unless you are an intelligent drug addict and are sure that you will put an intelligent 21 -inch screen to use.
Best budgetary intelligent speaker
This small speaker is my favorite offer from Amazon. The tiny little echo is on its fifth generation (you may remember the original, which looked like a hockey washer) and this last model has a fantastic sound quality for such a small speaker. It does everything that the greatest speakers can do, just in a smaller form. It is a perfect choice to sneak in an office or a dormitory, or even in a bathroom if you know you want to make music in the shower. I also love the DOT with Clock ($ 54) which is a little more and includes a simple digital clock – it is currently in stock, but its availability has been rare this year.
