Trump announces new deadly strike on suspected drug boat in Caribbean | US news
Donald Trump announced on Friday that the American army had made another deadly strike on a ship in the Caribbean, killing three men on board the ship which, according to Trump, traded illicit drugs.
“On my orders,” wrote Trump in a social media position shared by the White House and the Secretary of Defense, “the war secretary ordered a deadly kinetic strike on a ship affiliated with a terrorist organization designated leading the drug trafficking in the area of responsibility of Ursouth.”
Trump’s post included the video of the strike and the fiery consequences.
“Intelligence confirmed that the ship was trafficking illicit drugs and passed through a passage from narcotrafficking known on the way to poison the Americans,” said the president, without citing any legal authority for the last people in a series of extrajudicial murders of alleged drug smuggling.
US Southern Command (Southcom) is the combat command of the Pentagon which includes 31 countries across South and Central America and the Caribbean.
