‘Peace Studies’ Professor Allegedly Threatened Top Trump Official Who Was Forced Into Military Housing – RedState

A Virginia woman is in serious trouble with the law after allegedly harassing White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller and his family.

The woman allegedly distributed flyers in their neighborhood calling him a “Nazi,” leading the Millers to move into military housing for protection.

But wait, you haven’t heard the best part. It turns out that this woman, Barbara Wien, is a retired university professor from peace studies. Yes, you read that right.

According to court documents, Wien allegedly posted flyers in Miller’s neighborhood containing not only his address, but also damaging accusations like the one I shared above.

The report, originally reported by the New York Times, said:

In addition to the address, the flyer accused Miller of being “wanted for crimes against humanity” and included the slogan “No Nazis in NOVA,” an acronym for Northern Virginia.

The adviser’s wife, Katie Miller, who worked in the White House of first President Donald Trump, said in the affidavit that Wein allegedly made a threatening gesture toward her. It was a day after Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, was killed by an assassin’s bullet on the Utah Valley University campus in front of thousands of students.

The report noted:

“Ms. Miller interpreted this gesture to mean ‘I’m watching you’ and perceived it as a threatening act intended to intimidate or harass her,” the affidavit states. “Based on the timing, context and manner of the gesture, the action is treated as a potential act of intimidation in connection with the conduct under investigation.”

The Times report continues:

The affidavit also states that Fairfax County police acquired a text message that Wien sent to a WhatsApp group in April, in which she called Miller “the evil fascist behind family separations and deportation policies,” according to the Times. She vowed to “do [Miller’s] the hell of life” by organizing a chapter “Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ).

“His wife smugly sits drinking wine on their patio, while her husband orders the arrest of more and more of our Muslim, Arab American and Hispanic brothers and sisters,” Wien wrote, according to the affidavit. “My Showing Up For Racial Justice (SURJ) chapter in Northern Virginia intends to make his life hell. We have put together a carefully selected Signal group.”

Charges have not yet been filed against Wein, but police are investigating the situation to see if the professor could be charged with a Commonwealth of Virginia misdemeanor for providing information “with the intent to coerce, intimidate or harass another person,” according to the Times.

It was just the latest in alleged threatening actions against a top Trump administration official and his family, as my colleague Streiff at RedState reported in his article, “Threats of Violence Drive Top Trump Officials to Locust on Military Bases.”

His report detailed the campaign used against Miller and his family by his neighbors, writing:

For weeks before Kirk’s death, activists had protested the Millers’ presence in North Arlington, Virginia. Someone had posted wanted notices in his neighborhood with his home address, denouncing Stephen as a Nazi who had committed “crimes against humanity.” A group called Arlington Neighbors United for Humanity warned in an Instagram post: “Your efforts to dismantle our democracy and destroy our social safety net will not be tolerated here. » The local protest became the backdrop for the Trump administration’s response to Kirk’s killing. When Miller, the architect of that response and known for his incendiary political rhetoric, announced a legal crackdown on liberal groups, he pointed to the tactics that had victimized his family — what he called “organized campaigns of dehumanization, of smear, of posting people’s addresses.”

Stephen Miller ended up putting his Arlington home up for sale on October 16 after radical activists wrote messages in chalk in front of his house, such as “Stephen Miller is destroying democracy” and “no white nationalism.” He and his family have since moved into housing on a military base for safety reasons, as RedState reported.

Miller’s decision was followed by other top Trump officials moving out of their Virginia homes and into military housing to avoid threats from these crazy people.

Editor’s note: The Schumer ruling is here. Rather than putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and radical Democrats forced a government shutdown on health care for illegal immigrants. They own that.
