JB Pritzker Is an Illegal Immigrant’s Best Friend — Signs New Anti-ICE Law – RedState
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker continues to thumb his nose at any attempt to improve conditions in his state – particularly in violence-ridden Chicago – and will do anything to bring the policies of duly elected United States President Donald Trump to their knees.
The governor panicked when Trump sent a relatively small contingent of National Guardsmen to the Windy City in October after a particularly bloody weekend, and now he has gone further by signing HB 1312, a measure designed to make the job of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) even more difficult.

Governor Pritzker just signed legislation strengthening the sanctuary city policy – blocking civil immigrant arrests in courthouses, hospitals, schools, daycares and other “sensitive locations,” while giving immigrants the legal right to sue federal agents for alleged violations of their rights.
Meanwhile, Illinois taxpayers foot the bill – for legal defenses, administrative costs and emergency services – while residents’ needs take a back seat. It’s unfair and it’s not sustainable.
The law will protect illegal immigrants from ICE near courthouses, hospitals, college campuses and daycares. As the tweet above notes, this also gives people the right to sue officers if they feel their constitutional rights were violated.
It comes into force immediately.

JB, like his California counterpart Gavin Newsom, continues to lambast Trump and anyone who thinks illegal immigration is, in fact, illegalwhile both ignore the fact that their own states are in decline and residents don’t feel safe (because they aren’t). They continue to paint the president as a cold-hearted monster while he is simply trying to clean up the huge mess left by sanctuary cities and Joe Biden’s “let everyone in”! immigration policies.
Pritzker:
“With my signature today, we are protecting the people and institutions that belong here in Illinois. Dropping your child off at daycare, going to the doctor, or attending your classes shouldn’t be a life-altering task,” Pritzker said in a press release. “Illinois – in the face of cruelty and intimidation – chose solidarity and support. Donald Trump, [DHS Secretary] Kristi Noem, and [senior Border Patrol official] Gregory Bovino tried to appeal to our every instinct. But the best of us stand up to the worst of them. »
He’s doing a pretty high and mighty act, but he ignores the vast number of women and girls who were sex trafficked on their way to Biden’s open border, the illegal criminals who killed young victims like Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, the truck drivers with commercial driver’s licenses that should never have been issued who got into horrible accidents…the list goes on.
Republican Rep. Mary Miller (IL-15) says the governor’s actions constitute a betrayal of the Prairie State:

This is a complete and utter betrayal of the rule of law and all of Illinois’ innocent victims.

The White House had its own opinion on the matter:
“If Pritzker the Slob focused on fighting crime in his own state instead of defending criminal illegal aliens, Illinois residents would be much safer,” White House Press Secretary Abigail Jackson said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “Fighting crime and deporting dangerous illegal aliens should not be a partisan issue, but TDS-suffering Democrats are trying to make it one, all at the expense of the Americans they were elected to serve.”
What Pritzker also forgets is the American people, who voted for this president in large part because of his promise to do something about the disaster Ole Joe left behind. Like Newsom, when JB uses the word “cruel” over and over again, he is only describing himself.
Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration to our great country has virtually ceased. Despite the lies of the radical left, no new legislation was needed to secure our border, all it needed was a new president.
