Trump attends dignified transfer for Americans killed in Syria

US President Donald Trump witnessed the dignified transfer of two US National Guard members and an American civilian killed in Syria. The somber ceremony took place at Dover Air Force Base in the US state of Delaware.
The two soldiers and a civilian interpreter were killed in Syria in an ambush by an Islamic State (IS) gunman, the US Central Command (Centcom) said.
According to the U.S. Army, the two soldiers killed were Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar, 25, of Des Moines, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29, of Marshalltown. Interpreter Ayad Mansoor Sakat, an American civilian, was also killed.
Officials said three other soldiers were injured in the attack, during which the gunman was “engaged and killed.” Official Syrian information indicated that two Syrian soldiers were also injured.
