Half of Native Hawaiian University of Hawaiʻi students experience period poverty, study reveals

About 14% of college students in the United States live in period poverty, meaning they cannot afford or access menstrual products. A new study of 462 students in the University of Hawaii school system finds that period poverty may be significantly higher for this population. The new results are published in the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics.
