The FDA just released a report on outbreak investigations for 2024 and showed that vegetables were the most common cause of foodborne illnesses.
The Food and Drug Administration’s annual report details some of the activities of the agency’s Office of Coordinated Epidemic Response, Assessment, and Emergency Preparedness (CORE+EP). The office was created in 2011 under the Obama administration and was part of the larger FDA reorganization in 2024 under the Biden administration.
