Kristi Noem’s lover Corey Lewandowski is standing by her after pics of husband’s cross-dressing fetish leak

WASHINGTON — Corey Lewandowski stands by Kristi Noem as she suffers the humiliating consequences of her husband’s embarrassing photos of his double life.
Lewandowski, long considered Noem’s lover in addition to her political adviser, is playing the role of behind-the-scenes puppeteer in negotiating Noem’s politically ambitious public relations nightmare, sources told The Post.
Bryon Noem was sensationally accused in a Daily Mail article on Tuesday of posting cross-dressing photos of himself with comically large fake balloon breasts while chatting with influencers in the “bimboification” fetish scene.
It’s a familiar role for Lewandowski, who held an unpaid but powerful role within the Department of Homeland Security when she was its secretary.
Here’s the latest on Kristi Noem’s husband’s bizarre ‘bimbofication’ fetish scandal
He lost his job when President Trump fired her, but that didn’t drive them apart, insiders say.
The couple reportedly still lives together in the Coast Guard commander’s house on a Washington military base, for security reasons, and they remain close as they chart their path forward.
“He’s a survivor,” a senior Republican strategist who knows them both well told the Post.
Meanwhile, the shocking leak has sparked a new parlor game in Washington: who is behind this story and why did they do it?
One theory among Republican strategists who know Noem is that she may have contributed to the Daily Mail leak as part of a cynical play to rehabilitate her image after President Trump fired her as secretary of Homeland Security.
“I think she could have leaked it,” an insider told the Post. Three others said they did not rule out the possibility.
It’s all part of a comeback tour she and Lewandowski are planning with one possible goal: winning the White House.
The shocking accusation that Byron Noem cross-dresses and chats online with fetish models was seen by some strategists as a ploy to help the duo overcome a series of controversies after their careers crashed and burned following a disastrous Senate hearing on March 3.
“I can’t help but think that Corey Lewandowski is trying to distract from a scandal and set the stage for the secretary to divorce and for them to live happily ever after,” a source close to the couple told the Post.
Noem and Lewandowski did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
Noem’s response to the story about her husband — who is living in South Dakota while she and Lewandowski are reportedly cohabiting in the Coast Guard commander’s residence on a Washington, D.C., military base — was quick and succinct shortly after the news broke.
“Ms. Noem is devastated. The family has been blindsided by this and has asked for privacy and prayers at this time,” her spokesperson told the Post.
The Noems have been married for 34 years and have three adult children. Lewandowski has been married to Alison Hardy Lewandowski since 2005 and they share four children.
Noem has denied her romance with Lewandowski – despite years of reports that their relationship was more than professional.
But their bond raised eyebrows from the start of his tenure at DHS.
They traveled extensively together, including on official DHS business trips to El Salvador, Mexico and Colombia.
Records show they took “dozens” of trips together, jet-setting aboard donor planes to faraway love nesting grounds.
Last April, Lewandowski participated in an ICE raid in Phoenix with Noem, introducing himself to federal agents as her “chief of staff” as the two men shuttled in the back of a BearCat armored SWAT vehicle during a series of immigration raids.
This prompted DHS to later issue a statement clarifying that Lewandowski is in fact a DHS advisor and special government employee.
Last April, the Mail reported that the couple was renting apartments across the street from each other in DC’s Navy Yard neighborhood, and that Lewandowski was regularly seen leaving her luxurious $3,750-a-month two-bedroom apartment to return to her own high-end digs.
The audacity of the affair did not sit well with members of Bryon Noem’s family, who told the Post they hoped he would eventually move on from the ousted DHS chief once and for all.
However, they predicted that he would stay in the marriage because of his devout Christian faith and to honor his marriage vows.
“He said he decided about 20 years ago that God was calling him to support her in whatever she decided to do,” a family member said. “So he put up with the humiliation. We’ll see if he stays with her now.”
“I think he’s the one honoring God’s calling,” the family member added. “But it seems there is a limit to that.”
