Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice sentenced to 30 days in jail for highway racing crash | NFL
Kansas City chiefing receiver Rashee Rice was sentenced to 30 days in prison on Thursday after the authorities said that he and another excessive driver had caused a chain reaction accident that injured several Dallas road last year.
The Dallas County District Office said that Rice had pleaded guilty to two crime accusations in the third degree of collision involving serious bodily injuries and races on a highway causing bodily injuries during the March 2024 accident. As part of a plea agreement, Rice was sentenced to five years of delayed probation. From his probation, prosecutors said.
The prosecutors said that he should also pay the victims for their direct medical expenses, which totaled around $ 115,000.
Rice led a Lamborghini Urus SUV to 119 MPH when he made “multiple aggressive maneuvers around traffic” and hit other vehicles, prosecutors said. The prosecutors said that after the accident, Rice had not verified the well-being of those of other vehicles and fled on foot.
