NASA Invites Media to Ireland Artemis Accords Signing

Ireland will sign the Artemis Accords in a ceremony at 3 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 4 at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman will welcome Irish Ambassador to the United States of America Geraldine Byrne Nason; Irish Minister for Business, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke, TD; and officials from the U.S. Department of State for the ceremony.
This event is in person only. Media interested in attending should RSVP by noon on May 4 to: hq-media@mail.nasa.gov. NASA’s Media Accreditation Policy is online.
In 2020, under the first Trump administration, the United States, led by NASA and the State Department, joined seven other founding countries to conclude the Artemis Accords, responding to growing interest in lunar activities from governments and private companies.
The agreements introduced the first set of practical principles aimed at strengthening the security, transparency and coordination of civilian space exploration on the Moon, Mars and beyond.
