Birmingham City announce eight-player exit list

Birmingham City have announced the news that eight first team players will be leaving the club this summer.
The Blues revealed their end of season departure list via a post on their official club website earlier today.

It has been confirmed that Poppy Irvine, Adrianna Franch, Michaela Kovacs, Christie Harrison-Murray, Shanade Hopcroft, Tegan McGowan, Lily Agg and Lucy Quinn will all be moving on to new challenges this summer.
Harrison-Murray and Quinn are the most high-profile departures. The former has held the captain’s armband while the latter has impressed in 160 appearances for the Midlands club.
After the end of season departures were announced, Birmingham City’s Director of Women’s Football, Hope Powell said “On behalf of everyone at Birmingham City Women, we would like to thank each of the players leaving the Club this summer for their commitment and contributions during their time here.
“They have all played a part in an important period of the Club, including this season’s title-winning campaign, and we wish them every success in the next stage of their careers.”

Birmingham City held their nerve to win the Barclays WSL2 title on the final day of the season. The Blues defeated title rivals Charlton Athletic 2-0 at The Valley to leapfrog The Addicks into pole position.
