Osbourne’s death at the age of 76 was announced by his family on July 22.

“It is with more sadness that simple words cannot reveal that we must point out that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne died this morning,” said their declaration. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family intimacy at the moment. ”

The legendary rocker died only a few weeks after his farewell show with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, where he played from a chair because he was physically unable to stand up.

He revealed for the first time in 2020 that he had received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease the previous year.

“It was terribly difficult for all of us,” he said on Good Morning America at the time. “I made my last New Year’s show at the Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to undergo surgery on my neck, which did all my nerves. ”

In February, Osbourne gave an update on his health, sharing that he could no longer walk.

“I may be moaning how I can’t walk too,” he said in an interview with Siriusxm, “but looking at the road, there are people who did not do half, and they didn’t do it.”

Thousands of people gathered in the streets of Birmingham last Wednesday before the funeral procession of Ozzy, led by his wife, Sharon Osbourne, and their children Jack and Kelly.
