Skunk Ape: A Swamp-dwelling Sasquatch in Florida

Despite the lack of scientific evidence, anecdotal reports on the observations of the Skunk monkeys have continued over the years. Some say they saw him cross a path or a loom next to a road near Orlando. Others say he has taken a look through their car windows at night or even tried to kill the cattle.

Photographs

In the 2000s, a pair of photographs known as “Myakka Skunk Ape Photos” surfaced – would have sent anonymously to the Bureau du Sheriff du Comté de Sarasota, although no official agency authentication was made.

They show a shaggy and orange creature with reflective eyes. While many rejected them as a hoax, they rekindled the public interest for the creature.

Videos

Then there are the video recordings – granular clips of a large silhouette launching through the woods or sliding behind trees like a marshy ninja.

Some show the creature dragging something through the brush, perhaps a bag of lima beans (purely speculative). Others seem to document large fingerprints with distinct toes in a hurry in the muddy path.
