Presidential Display Mentioning Trump Back Up at Smithsonian—and It’s Obvious Why They Had to Fix It – RedState

It has flourished with the mind sometimes why the leftists do the things they do, when it is not much necessary to demystify their gas charges and their lighting – especially when it is something that they can try to blame President Donald Trump.
In the last case of this, as I wrote about a week ago, the inherited media were in full panic mode on history which would be rewritten by the new delegates of the Smithsonian Institution
I recently wrote on their withdrawal (at the end of July) of a sign in an exhibition on American presidents, making an informed assumption on the reasons why the eighty of the media, including Wapo and USA today – have left the apoplectic:
One of these presentation signs has been found as the subject of Lefty’s last non-trafic, with the inherited media showing that he cannot bear the fact that their resistant colleagues lose their grip on the rewriting of the history of American cultural pillars like the Smithsonian, as Usa Today does here:
The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, eliminated the references to President Donald Trump in a dismissal exhibition, although Trump is the first and the only president of the American history to be dismissed twice. But the museum says that this decision is temporary.
The Washington Post reported the change on Thursday, July 31 for the first time on Friday, August 1, the Smithsonian said the museum’s dismissal. Here’s what we know.
The “Impeachment” display is hosted in the largest permanent gallery called “The American Presidency”, which opened in 2000, according to a declaration sent by email from Smithsonian. He offers information and artefacts on Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton and Richard Nixon, according to the display website. Nixon resigned before he could be officially dismissed.
The institution patiently explains the reason for common sense of change – the label has never been supposed to be permanent:
In September 2021, a “temporary label on the content concerning the dismissal of Donald J. Trump” was added, according to the Smithsonian declaration. “It was intended to be a short -term measure to approach current events at the time, however, the label remained in place until July 2025.”
The display has since been returned to the way in which it appeared almost 20 years ago, according to Smithsonian’s declaration and the Washington Post report, which also noted that the exhibition said now: “Only three presidents were seriously confronted with the deletion”, omitting Trump
In a declaration shared with his X account, the Smithsonian did his best to bring things back to the facts: (underline added)
As a guardian of memory for the nation, it is our privilege and our responsibility to tell precise and complete stories. As was recently reported, in July, a sign was removed from @amhistorymuseumThe exhibition “The American presidency: a glorious burden”. The intention of …

“As a guardian of memory for the nation, it is our privilege and our responsibility to tell precise and complete stories,” wrote the institution. “As was recently reported, in July, a sign was removed from the exhibition of @ amhistorymuseum” The American presidency: a glorious burden “.The intention of the “Distribution” section of the exhibition is to reflect all the procedures for dismissing the history of our country. “”
“” The signwhich was to be a temporary addition to a 25 -year exhibition, did not comply with the apparently, location, chronology and global presentation museum standards“They continued.” He was not consistent with other sections of the exhibition and also blocked the view of objects inside his case. For these reasons, we deleted the sign. Administration or other government official did not ask us to delete the content of the part. “”
The Smithsonian has closed by promising to update the “Distribution” section in the coming weeks to reflect all the procedures for indulging in the history of our nation “.

Axios reported on Friday that, as promised, the institution quickly ended the update – and it is now clear as the day why they had to change the sign and other parts of the dismissal section: (highlight added)
Zoom: Trump’s return in the event of dismissal in the exhibition “American Presidency: A Glorious Burden” of the museum came with changes, photos that a Smithsonian spokesperson shared with Axios Show.
- Changes include The addition of the word “presumed” in the description of the sign of actions that led to Trump’s first indictment. (Trump is the only president to be charged twice.)
- The museum has also updated a panel to include Trump’s name alongside Andrew Johnson, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton.
Although the publication is not developed on the “actions” described by the display card, it does not take much imagination to determine what a distant activist type assigned to work in the Smithsonian has concocted. He rhymes with “Russia, Russia, Russia! “”

In a new declaration by the Smithsonian spokesperson in Axios, the institution said:
“The updated display now reflects all presidential dismissals. Adhering to fundamental principles to our role as a museum of the country, we take great care to ensure that what we present to the public reflects both intellectual integrity and thoughtful conception.”
Leave it to Axios, however, to continue trying to continue non-transformation by pointing a finger on Donald Trump and his administration, as I mentioned earlier:
The other side: Lindsey Halligan, A White House official told post that the White House was not involved in changes.
- “That said, it is encouraging to see the institution take measures that align with the executive order of President Trump to restore the truth in American history,” she said, alsoNote that Trump was acquitted twice by the Senate.
Bingo! And it is exactly the kind of real historical fact that the left prefers to forget people.
