There are a few ingredients necessary to create a massive return victory, and the Blue Jays of Toronto had them all on Wednesday evening.
A noisy crowd at Rogers Center. A range that has achieved a productive blow after a productive bat. And a manager of John Schneider who pulled all the good ropes.
Erasing an 8-5 deficit against the Minnesota Twins, the Blue Jays resumed a 9-8 victory, now their lead in the American League East during a night when the Red Sox of Boston and New York Yankees both won victories.

“It was strong. It was a fairly electric atmosphere,” said Schneider, by Keegan Matheson of MLB.com.
It took a few mastery of Schneider to win the victory, including a trio of substitutions at the bottom of the eighth. After Ty France struck a home run-home, Alejandro Kirk followed with a single, striking in place of Andrés Giménez, who had dominated earlier in the match.
Schneider used this movement as a warning for the rest of the league: this Blue Jays team is as disinterested as they come, and they can fight you, no matter who enters the hitting box.
“These guys do not leave. They do not give (shit) against whom they play. They do not care about the situation. I love it,” said Schneider, by Matheson. “They don’t even care that I can pinch them (after), they hit a home run. It was a big victory (Wednesday).”
At 78-56, after the victory, the Blue Jays are in great shape not only to win the division, but to win a bye in the first round in the playoffs. And advice to any team faced with them in October: never assume that the game is in hand.
