New study finds link between traumatic brain injuries and brain cancer risk

Mass general researchers Brigham have studied around 15,000 adults who had moderate to severe traumatic brain injury. They found that a small percentage of these people is more likely to develop brain tumors cancer and cancer compared to those without history of TBI. Dr. Saef Izzy, co-author of the study and doctor and scientist of neurocritical care at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Harvard Medical School, joined CBS News to discuss.
