NFL trade grades: Tank Bigsby dealt from Jaguars to Eagles

Let’s discussions for the 2025 NFL season. When an agreement occurs, we often hear the old adage that it will take years to know how well each team has done well in the agreement. I say: nonsense. Directors general do not get behind while making their decisions, so why should we assess these decisions?
It is a long way to say that I am a big fan of commercial notes, who document our reaction when an agreement is concluded. When I classify the professions, I assess them for each team according to the impact in the field, the CAP implications, the remuneration and the effects in the context of the short and long -term global prospects of a team. I like to think of decisions on two axes:
They will both play a role in our notes, although a small impact decision can always receive a strong or bad note. Low trips, victories or clear losses are still counting.
Let us dive in season agreements leading to the NFL trade deadline on November 4. We will start with the Eagles who acquire the Bigsby Ballon Ball of the Jaguars.

The eagles get: RB Tank Bigsby
The Jaguars get: Pick of fifth round 2026, choice of sixth round 2026
Grade Eagles: C-
Jaguars Grade: A
The director general of Eagles, Howie Roseman, earns more trades than anyone, but he does not win them all.
In Bigsby, the Eagles acquire a very solid runner. The choice of third round of 2023 accumulated 124 impressive rods on waiting last season, according to statistics from the NFL NFL, after a disappointing recruit campaign.
But it is all It is, which is its drawback. Bigsby offers almost nothing in the reception game; He has only eight career receptions. He was blocked on only 33 snaps in his professional career. And he obviously did not win the starting station in Jacksonville this season despite not facing a particularly rigid competition in Travis Etienne Jr. and the recruit of the fourth round Bhashul Tuten.
This trade clearly indicates that the Eagles estimated that they needed the depth of running back behind Saquon Barkley. They have Will Shipley, who considers that they are more a complement and a reception backup – very different from Bigsby. But my first reaction was, Wow, it is a lot for a backup in a non-pre-premium position that does not catch passes, especially given the amount of philadelphia which has already invested in the ball with Barkley. Even with Bigsby under control for another year of recruit contract in 2026, it is a little too much for my taste.
Bigsby could also associate with Shipipley on Kick Returns after having returned 11 kicks in his career. It is a more important role now than before, the precipitated dose of touchbacks, but that does not change that the Eagles have abandoned a lot for Bigsby.
It is a good result for Jacksonville, however. It seemed likely that one of the Etienne or Bigsby would be treated after the addition of Tuten in this year’s project. That it happens now is an upheaval. But in exchange for their second or third -rope ball carrier, the jaguars receive a fifth And Choice of sixth round. This is a great value, and it hardly leaves Jacksonville in the short term since Bigsby did not start.
