Abracadabra!

A fascinating illustration in this Times article and the included chart of what has happened over the past four weeks. Essentially, oil exploded; stock markets fell. This trend was repeatedly interrupted when President Trump created moments that were essentially fake news. These events temporarily caught the markets’ attention before reality set in. It’s a powerful illustration of the power and limits of what I called yesterday Trump’s “drama du jour.”
