AEW Star Sends Bold Message to John Cena Before WWE Wrestlepalooza

Amid his retirement tour, John Cena has a massive match against his WWE foe, Brock Lesnar, at Saturday’s Wrestlepalooza. The latest battle occurs towards the end of Cena’s career, following previous clashes where Lesnar dominated him in the ring.
It also arrives after Cena has faced several other familiar foes from his historic time with WWE. Among them were Randy Orton and CM Punk, both of whom he’s had some memorable matches with in the past decade or so.
Cena has faced just about everyone imaginable during his career, including other legends like The Rock, Triple H, and The Undertaker.

With the way things have played out, Cena is unable to face all of those former opponents, due to them being retired or uninterested in getting back into the ring.
Meanwhile, another memorable opponent sent Cena a bold message ahead of Wrestlepalooza. Miles away from Indianapolis, AEW held its big event, All Out, in Toronto.

As a native Canadian, Adam “Edge” Copeland competed on the card in a tag team match with fellow Canadian Christian Cage as they took on FTR’s Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.
In a highlight spot during the match, Edge took one hand and looked at it before mimicking John Cena’s “You can’t see me” taunt and gesture. From there, he also performed Cena’s trademark move, the Five Knuckle Shuffle, on his opponent.
The crowd loved it based on their response, even repeating the “You can’t see me” line before Edge connected on the move.
Cena and Edge had plenty of memorable battles over the years, including matches for the major championship belts.
In one of the earliest highlights, Edge cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to take the WWE Championship Cena just won at New Year’s Revolution 2006.
Fast forward several years, and Edge defeated Cena for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash 2009. The two also battled it out on Raw in 2010 as part of their extensive feud.
Earlier this month, Cena participated in WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn’s open challenge on SmackDown. During the match, Cena paid tribute to a variety of his opponents’ popular moves, including him hitting Edge’s spear on Sami.
Along with that, fans saw Cena use two of Kurt Angle’s moves, the Angle Slam and Angle Lock. The match ended in a no-contest finish due to Brock Lesnar’s interference to set up Cena’s epic match against The Beast for WWE’s Wrestlepalooza.
