Amazon Just Announced a Color Kindle Scribe, and It’s Expensive

During its fall material event today, Amazon announced a new range of Kindle Scribe devices, less than a year after the release of the second generation of its online e-Lise. The three devices wear a new design with smaller glasses and a larger 11 -inch screen, but the key to retaining is that the same display technology that feeds the Kindle Colorsoft arrives on the digital notebook – as well as with a high price.

More expensive than competition
Without having become practical with the new scribes, I can say that all these changes sound well, but these prices. Amazon did not specify if the prices were a factor, but even given the largest screen (11 inches against 10.2 inches on the 2024 model), the apparent price jump of $ 100 for the black and white scribe is important (granted, it is currently clear how much storage that will lead you, but Amazon notes the device “begins” at $ 499, while the 2024 model is expensive at 399 $ storage and increasing). With a starting price of $ 629, the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft is $ 100 more than the Boox Note Air 4C, and the latter can do much more, since it is not linked to the restrictive ecosystem of Amazon – Boox devices run on an open version of Android with access to the Complete Google Play store, which means that you can download your Favorite productivity, rather than limiting you to Amazon Store from Amazon. The Kindle will probably offer a better writing experience and the user experience generally without Amazon friction, but when it comes to an expensive tool like this, this is only part of the equation.
Get an agreement on a Kindle 2024 scribe
