Apple teases ‘something big’ coming to your devices in early 2026

If you purchased a new Apple device over the holiday season, it may be time to start using your Fitness+ three-month free trial. In a cryptic Instagram Reel, Apple announces “something big” coming to its workout service.
The 15-second spot shows people reading newspapers with Fitness+-related headlines, including “The Countdown Begins,” “Plans for 2026 Still Under Secret – For Now” and Something Big Coming to Apple Fitness+. Other parts of the announcement hint at “all-new content” and “major moves” to come.
It’s not uncommon for Apple to announce new Fitness+ programs in early January. Earlier this year, Apple unveiled a new lineup of programs on Jan. 3 that includes strength, yoga, and walking classes, as well as integration with Strava. Apple also teased these new programs with its Instagram account, but it was much less enigmatic.
In November. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Fitness+ is undergoing an internal review as Apple explores new avenues for its struggling service. Additionally, a separate Health+ service is rumored to merge real-world healthcare professionals with Apple Intelligence to offer diagnostic advice. It’s unclear whether this “big” announcement is related to a change in Fitness+ or new content.
Fitness+ costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year and is also included in Apple One plans. It is available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
