April 19th PM: Warmup begins in Siouxland

IA, NE, SD (KCAU) — The sun continues to shine in Siouxland, today being slightly warmer than yesterday, with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. Winds are also calmer today, with only gusts to 25 MPH, making it a beautiful Sunday.
Skies remain sunny through Thursday, when we see chances of scattered showers and storms. Temperatures begin to rise as we see 70s for Monday and then 80s through Thursday.
With warm temperatures, dry air remaining in the area, and winds gusting to 30 MPH tomorrow, we see an increased fire risk, but no watches or warnings have been issued in Siouxland yet.
After Thursday’s storms pass through, we see a quick return to season, and we’re hovering in the 60s for the 2nd half of 9-on-9.
Partly cloudy skies remain across Siouxland and we see our next rain chances appearing this weekend with a few showers.
