The crew of NASA’s Artemis II mission described seeing the far side of the Moon for the first time.

NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, entered the third day of their mission aboard the Orion spacecraft that will transport them to the far side of the Moon and back to Earth.

“Something about you feels that isn’t the Moon I’m used to seeing,” Koch said.

As of 11:00 p.m. BST on Saturday, NASA’s online dashboard indicated that the Artemis II spacecraft was more than 180,000 miles (28,9681 km) from Earth.
