Azzi Fudd Doesn’t Know How She’d Play Against Paige Bueckers: ‘There’s No Stopping Her’

Speaking of things that should be held for you, what do you think of the projectiles that have been thrown to some of these recent WNBA games?
I thought the first was really funny, and it was just random. No one expected him. And then after that, it was a bit like, okay, the joke is old. In addition, you throw something on the field where the players are – he could strike one of them, could hurt one of them. I thought the first was super funny. After that, it’s like, at least throw something else.
While you are preparing to end your university career, what do you want your inheritance Uconn to be?
It is difficult to have a Uconn inheritance in a place like Uconn, where everyone is incredibly talented and good. But I want my inheritance to be on the kind of person on which I was and outside the field. I was a great teammate, a great person who was not unilateral, unidimensional.
While the WNBA continues to gain popularity, what do you hope to see in the coming years?
I want to be able to see the fans’ commitment and the support of fans continue to grow. It was crazy to be able to look a little in real time and see how much fans really like players, but also as people. They follow them from college to W, and I think it’s incredible. I want to continue to see the players get the respect they deserve, whether it is the salary they deserve, the facilities, the equal opportunities, anything … I want to see who continues to increase.
You and Paige have been opened on its efforts to get involved in Uconn while you were still in high school. Obviously, many things can happen before the next project, but you hope to team up with Paige, whether in the W or unparalleled?
Paige is the kind of teammate with which everyone wants to play because she is so altruistic. The way she plays, she involves everyone. She is also just a great player, so she draws the attention so much that it allows everyone to get a good appearance and opportunities in the field.
So, I would really like to play with her again with her; At the same time, I would like to play against her. I think it’s a kind of win-win. There is no bad option.
If you had to play against her, what would you use against her?
I’m just going to spoil with her, but at the same time, when you talk to her about the trash can or play with her, she goes up in another area and then there is no stop. So I don’t know what I would do.
