Best Digital Notebook Cyber Monday Sales (2025): ReMarkable, Kobo, Kindle

I like one digital notebook. I write about them all year here on WIRED, and it’s not often that my favorites come up for sale. (Or for these to go on sale, in addition to Amazon’s own sales events.) But this year, several digital notebooks I love are on sale for the biggest sales event of the year.
If you’ve been thinking about purchasing one for yourself, there’s really no better time. From reMarkable’s on-sale bundles to Kobo deals, you can buy five of the best digital laptops we’ve ever tried right now for less than you might find until next year. It’s a handy device that everyone can benefit from, whether you want to digitally annotate your books or write your shopping list without using paper.

The best digital laptop deals
Some of the best digital notebooks we’ve tried are from reMarkable, and one of reMarkable’s models always seems to reign supreme on our digital notebook guide. Although the Paper Pro Move is the newer model, the reMarkable Paper Pro launching in September 2024 is my current favorite. Not only is it powerful with tons of tools and a simple interface, but it also contains a color screen for colorful notes. It also has a soft front light so you can use it in darker environments. You can get the bundles on sale now, so combine any of reMarkable’s markers and folio covers with a Paper Pro to get $50 off.
reMarkable’s best discount is actually for its older device and our previous top pick, the reMarkable 2. It doesn’t have a color screen or front lighting, but you’ll get the reMarkable’s excellent software and accessory options like the Keyboard Folio for using it as a laptop. The reMarkable 2 bundles are also on sale, so add your favorite folio to the reMarkable website to get $70 off.
The Kobo Libra Color is my favorite all-around e-reader with its color screen and page-turn buttons, but you can add a stylus to make it double as a digital notepad. It’s one of the more affordable options, and its screen is smaller than the others, but I especially like that you can use the stylus to doodle on the books you’re reading (something you can’t do with the Kindle Scribe). It’s $30 off on Kobo’s site for Cyber Monday.
The second-generation Kindle Scribe isn’t the best digital laptop, but the long battery life (12 weeks!!) and the convenient starting point of being a Kindle I could already read on make it a great choice for note-takers and casual doodlers. It’s a good choice for Kindle and Amazon users, and new models are expected to come out this winter, but they probably won’t be as cheap as this one. (Especially since some of these new models will have color!)
If you like the idea of getting a Kobo e-reader that also doubles as a digital notepad, you can opt for a more classic size with the larger Elipsa 2E. This one comes with the stylus, so you won’t have to add it, and it’s $50 off.
The Rocketbook Fusion Plus Digital Planner and Notebook is for those who don’t want to refill their notebook or give up the whole “paper” experience. Take notes with the included Pilot Frixion erasable pen, scan photos of the pages into the app, and erase everything with the damp microfiber cloth (also included). Fusion Plus has the biggest discount in recent memory and offers templates ranging from monthly and weekly pages to project management and meeting notes.
