The Trump administration has more than 2,000 federal immigration agents in Minnesota, and another 1,000 will be deployed by the Department of Homeland Security, despite local officials in the city of Minneapolis urging them to leave.

On The late show On Tuesday night, host Stephen Colbert called him out: “So he’s clearly invading Minnesota. Did anyone tell him he doesn’t have any oil? Because the best he’s going to get is 50 million barrels of cream of mushroom soup.”

Protests against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have spread across America following the killing of her mother Renee Good, 37, by an ICE agent in Minneapolis last week, which Colbert called “just the latest and most horrific abuse of this great city by Homeland Security.”

“If you’ve been on social media, you’ve seen all the terrible activities these officers have been carrying out, pulling people out of vehicles, searching homes and schools, threatening and then initiating violence,” Colbert said during his monologue, then turning to a viral clip that is making the rounds on social media. “You may have seen this too, an ICE officer running down the sidewalk and completely eating Duke.”
