They have a very small window in which to act, and he takes the most out to redesign the districts of the California congress to maximize the democratic advantage. Potentially all the districts of the State of California. There is potential in Maryland, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, and in other states as well. I think on each forehead, we have to fight with everything we have.
Because – to develop the point you have made – if we do not stop this theft in Texas, if we do not win the majority in the House of Representatives in 2026, the consolidation of the authoritarian power in the hands of Trump will be close to the toppable. Maybe completely unstoppable. And I will never stop fighting, but this fight simply becomes extremely difficult after ’26 if we do not gain majority.
What is happening is that you know – it is freer to send more federal plainclothes agents, without badges or mandates, to sweep people. Could be immigrants. Could be citizens. Could really be anyone. Because they suspended the regular procedure and other constitutional protections. It continues and get fat. You have its targeted political opponents for reprisals, revenge, even political violence.
