The signing of LaFC of the South Korean star, Heung-Min, earlier this month, is a major coup, not only for the team. It is also the last of a series of acquisitions that brought an unprecedented level of talent and attention to the MLS while the League is approaching the end of its 30th anniversary season.

Since Lionel Messi joined Inter Miami shortly after winning the 2022 World Cup, MLS welcomed more than two dozen world stars, champions of the Hugo Lloris World Cup, Olivier Giroud, Rodrigo de Paul and Thomas Mueller in Germany Marco Reus and Luis Suárez d’Uruguay.
