Bucs add some OL depth with Billy Schrauth in Round 5

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have seen their offensive line take a beating over the past two seasons. They know they need some depth, and general manager Jason Licht has once again let the board claw their way to get another big value for the Bucs, this time in the fifth round.
With the 160th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Bucs selected Notre Dame safety Billy Schrauth.

Schrauth could become a starter for this team at left guard and provides a tremendous insurance policy for Cody Mauch, who is coming off a serious knee injury. With this selection, the Bucs will be able to properly evaluate his knee during his rehabilitation and return to camp. If things don’t progress the way they should, Schrauth could play significant snaps as a rookie.
He was a team captain at Notre Dame and proved to be a leader on a team full of them. He will be as good a locker room addition as a depth addition for the Bucs.
